Make each Point Powerful

Begin separate ideas with powerful introductions - these will stick in people’s minds and break up the presentation
Ask thought provoking or rhetorical questions to get people thinking about the material in the context you want
Make startling statements to get their attention, then back it up with information to drive your point home

Strong Finish

Prepare for difficult questions, particularly the ones that may derail your presentation or subvert your goal
Have your own questions ready in case nobody asks the ‘difficult’ ones - ease them into it by saying “Im usually asked … or one thing you might still be wondering about is”
Have a second short closing after the Q&A - Just like an encore or curtain call, include a short closing to summarise your points (again) to drive home your key messages including your call to action.
