What you will learn
During the 2 day convention you will be trained and tested in the sleuthing skills of:
|•|| Effective questioning and active listening skills to collect and evaluate evidence
|•||Powers of observation in being mentally sharp to deduct subtle cues of human behaviour|
|•||Deductive and inductive reasoning and a range of different thinking styles to piece all the parts of the puzzle together|
|•||Powers of observation and concentration: being mentally sharp at all times|
|•||Evidence collection: Having an eye for detail - such as small objects, and slight variations in someone’s story|
|•||Be subtle: fly under the radar and blend in and notice subtle cues in human behaviour and what’s happening at all times|
|•||The art of building rapport during witness interviews: it’s not what you ask but how you ask it. Tap into your intuitive thinking to take what you may sense or perceive to be true or untrue|
|•||Effective questioning techniques: to avoid yes/no and focus on questions that require real answers|
|•||Infiltrate a network of informants: who have connections with people that the detectives won’t be able to approach formally|
|•||Handle forensic evidence and records investigation|
|•||Use Methods of Reasoning: Inductive and Deductive Logic|
|•||Critical and Analytical Thinking: to carefully look at the problem and analyse the evidence to examine the Means, Motive and Opportunity|
